Best Shorts For Women With Thick Thighs

Doesn't matter what size I am, certain shorts fit well; while others just don't. For me, the worst is when shorts ride up between my thighs. Y'all know what I'm talking about, right? You put on some shorts. You think you're looking cute. Then you start walking. With every step, the hem of your shorts keep creeping further and further up towards your crotch. I can't stand it! Trying your shorts on ahead of time doesn't always help, either. Many times you won't know about the "ride up" until you actually start walking in them. In my case, shorts tend to ride up because my thighs rub together when I walk. As a result, I try to find the best shorts for thick thighs. Below are some of my favorites!

By and large the best shorts for thick thighs are Bermuda shorts. Bermuda shorts generally hit above the knee and have various inseams from 8 inches - 10 inches (sometimes longer). I cuffed my shorts because that's how like wearing them.

The next pair of shorts that work well with thick thighs are "cuffed and slightly fitted." I bought the pair shown below from the now shuttered Charlotte Russe and they are my faves. The inseam is about 4 inches. They have a small amount of distressing, pockets, good amount of stretch, and belt loops!

The final kind of shorts that have worked for me are ones that are very fitted. These are shorts that look more on the sexy side. They usually hit mid-thigh or a tad shorter. One key element is that they're generally snug around the thigh so they don't ride up! I actually wore the ones below to an evening birthday party, but I didn't have pictures of the full outfit from that night. Like I said, these can have a sexier "feel" to them. They can totally work in a daytime setting like I have shown, but they're not necessarily my go-to shorts.

Shorts can be difficult to pull off. Some may fit weirdly, may not be age appropriate, or are outright unstylish. When looking for shorts for thick thighs in particular, I've found that it's best to stick to longer styles that hit above the knee- like Bermuda's. Or opt for a shorter style that isn't too loose, which will prevent them from bunching up in the middle.
